Japanese Embroidery & Monogram Embroidery

Antique-Inspired Designs and Tips

I am a Japanese embroidery designer and instructor, creating antique-inspired embroidery, alphabet designs, and monograms.

My work is inspired by antique textiles, decorative letters, European ornaments, old books, architecture, and beautiful objects from the past.

I love combining traditional hand embroidery techniques with my own designs to create embroidery that feels both timeless and new.

On my note, I write about embroidery, design, materials, techniques, and the ideas behind my work.

And now, these articles can be read in English.

Antique-Inspired Alphabet & Monogram Embroidery

Letters are one of my favorite embroidery motifs.

A single alphabet can become a beautiful piece of embroidery.

The shape of the letter, the direction of the stitches, the thickness of the thread, the colors, and the surrounding ornament can completely change its character.

I especially enjoy creating antique-inspired alphabet and monogram embroidery, using decorative curves, flowers, frames, crowns, and classical motifs.

For me, embroidery is not only about technique.

It is also about creating a world through thread.

Embroidery Tips, Threads and Techniques

Beautiful embroidery is often created through many small details.

How tightly the fabric is stretched.

The direction of the stitches.

The length of each stitch.

The choice of embroidery thread.

The combination of colors.

These small choices can make a big difference.

On note, I share embroidery tips, hand embroidery techniques, threads, materials, color ideas, and design inspiration.

I also write about why I choose certain stitches and how I think about embroidery design.

From Inspiration to Embroidery

My embroidery often begins before I pick up a needle.

An antique textile, an old alphabet, architecture, a flower, or a beautiful curve may become the starting point for a new design.

I draw the pattern, adjust the balance, choose the stitches and threads, and slowly transform the idea into embroidery.

I enjoy sharing this creative process as much as the finished work itself.

More Than What I Share on Instagram

I share many finished embroidery pieces on Instagram.

But there are things that cannot be explained in a single photograph or short caption.

Why did I choose this stitch?

Where did the design come from?

Which embroidery thread did I use?

What small detail made the embroidery look better?

On note, I can share these stories in more depth.

You will find embroidery tips and ideas that I do not share on Instagram, along with many photographs and videos.

Japanese Embroidery Articles, Now Available in English

My note articles have mainly been written for readers in Japan.

Now that note supports English translation, embroidery lovers around the world can explore them too.

Embroidery itself can cross borders without words.

But words allow me to share the ideas, techniques, discoveries, and stories behind each piece.

If you love hand embroidery, monogram embroidery, antique-inspired designs, beautiful threads, and traditional techniques, I hope you will enjoy exploring my note.

Perhaps you will find a small idea for your next embroidery project.

One stitch, one idea, and a new piece begins.
